About the event

Join us for an info session on building your students’ global competency skills through classroom-to-classroom virtual exchanges. In an interconnected, demanding global economy, global competency skills are critical to students’ academic and career success. Our Unite All School Classroom to Classroom Virtual Exchange connects secondary schools from around the world to engage in cultural exchanges as well as collaborate to help address shared challenges in their local communities. Students work on local challenges through the lenses of the sustainable development goals that they share with peers from other communities and countries. 

Here are some quick facts about Unite All Schools classroom-to-classroom Virtual Exchange Program:

  • 83% of Unite All Schools are from underserved and rural communities.
  • 51% of participants had never participated in any Virtual exchange Programs before.
  • 85% of participants are interested in participating in the Program again.
  • 83% of participants highly recommend the Program to other participants.
  • Program integrates well into the curriculum through project-based, experiential learning, such as Social Studies, Science, English class, etc.
  • One or more classes can join together.
  • Building TRUE (Trust, Respect, Understanding, and Empathy) partnership through positive interaction and teamwork with other schools across borders, enhancing social and emotional learning.
  • Enhancing global experience/exposure through real life interaction and partnership around meaningful projects.
  • Exploring and discussing themes around Culture, Language, Leadership, History, Arts, Environment, Health, Education, Economy (entrepreneurship, poverty alleviation, etc.), Equity, Peace and Security, etc. and the Sustainable Development Goals.

What the Program Includes

  • Asynchronous and Synchronous bi-weekly activities
  • Online Engagement with peers through an LMS platform
  • Students-led Case Studies
  • Full Program facilitation by Unite All School Team
  • 1-2 hours commitment per week
  • Final Presentations
  • Certificate of Global Citizen Leadership upon successful completion
  • A Community of alumni network available to join
